Let's try to remember...
I'd like to take a moment to suggest that we change some wording that is used in a very good way.
When I gave my speech, I asked that we stand by our soldiers and veterans. Well, on the way home from DC, something hit me like a ton of bricks! When we say support our soldiers (something I am all for) we limit that to the Army. I thank God for the Army and support them in all they do--but let's add a little more to that so that we cover all areas.
From now on, we support our Soldiers, Airmen, Marines, Sailors,Coast Guard, and our National Guard. I just want them all to be included in this. I know Soldier is accepted amongst mainstream as military in general, but trust me, it'll mean a lot to each of our service men and women if we give them the honor and attention due.
Also, let's not forget to thank them for what they do. Without them, we wouldn't have the chance to fight for freedom. Don't let them walk by you without them realizing how much support they have. Again, they are not in this alone.
So, to us, it may be only adding a few more words, but to them, it's recognizing their service specifically and giving them the honor they deserve. That's what I'm all about.
Please join me in working on this aspect of vocabulary...

I couldn't believe that our government had passed laws to take any person's rights, and called it a Patriot Act.
I couldn't believe that eight years after 9/11, our country's borders were still allowing the free flow of illegal alien labor.
I couldn't believe that our government would post infantry troops in America, in direct violation of the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878, and call it Northern Commmand.
I couldn't believe that our government was attempting to socialize health care, and take over one fifth of the economy. Against the will of the people.
But it has happened. What will be left of our Republic for our posterity? Our generation has the responsibility to stop those who would pervert and usurp our Republic, and our Constitution.
It will not end with me. I will not be silent anymore.

Anyway, KS is right, bring 'em home and let's get our economic act together. You "youngin's" are going the be the major payer's in this "change". Getting a few years on me, but I'm with you all the way. I've written my elected officials and the the obligatory "thank you for your concern...". So I'm a little jaded on talking to these morons, but now that more are talking, I'll keep trying.
As far as the "soldiers" comment, as a sailor, I'm OK with it, we like the KISS principle. Rock On!

You can request addresses for Soldiers, Airmen, Marines, Sailors and Coast Guardsmen that have been deployed to the war zone. Please let them known they are not forgotten. All it takes is a few minutes of your time and a regular stamp to send a card or letter with some encouraging words. You can use the "Search" feature to find the troops from your state. You can get flat rate boxes, custom sheets and labels from you post office if you want to send them "R.I.P The US Constitution" t-shirts or other "goodies".
Remember "Freedom Isn't Free".

It is wonderful to see the next generation stand up and say... stop trampling our constitution and giving away our freedom, stop spending our money, stop putting us in debt, stop risking our future. This is a message that everyone can support, Democrat, Republican or Independent.
Perhaps its our representatives that need to be wearing shirts that say, "it won't end with me". If they won...

As a person that has many friends, and wildly respects the people of the military, I know they will appreciate, that you can tell the difference even if the press cannot. Although some of these friends of mine cannot and probably should not comment, I will give you the THANK YOU they are all thinking.
